I have always filled my spare time with craft and I have had a go at most but apart from card making have never stuck to any one in particular. When I discovered scrapbooking in May 2002 I knew I had found “the” craft for me.
I was born and grew up in Canberra but since my early 20’s I have been a Queenslander through and through. My husband and I have two gorgeous children and I am lucky to be able to be home full time with them.
I get a lot out of scrapbooking. I love that I can preserve our memories for generations to come while being creative which is an important release for me. Once the kids are in bed the night is mine to cut and paste and play with paper. I am a night owl and can sit up into the early hours of the morning and still get up to that little voice that demands I make him breakfast as the sun creeps over the horizon.
My style is clean and simple, I don’t use a lot of pattern paper but I do love to add simple embellishments and handstitching to my pages.
I have albums for my daughter and son and a family one but I think I am most passionate about my Book of Me. I love creating pages about my life and I love that one day my children will be able to look at it and see me before I was their Mum.
Scrapbooking is a passion for me and it is the one craft I can see myself still doing it when I am old and grey.
